The Sube Spanish unit tests were adapted from the NYSELAT assessment format for English language learners. There are two tests for each unit. One is student-directed and can be used as a whole class, small group, or individual assessment. There are ten questions for each unit test. The first five test basic vocabulary retention and comprehension. The last five test phonemic awareness, word recognition and unit-specific grammer, language and math skills. The second test is teacher-directed and is adminstered individually. It is divided into four parts: reading, speaking, listening and writing.
